Notice is hereby given that on the date listed above the City of Dunnellon will be conducting a roundtable meeting to discuss and gather input regarding Ordinance No. ORD2026-01.  This ordinance readopts Chapter 11, "Special Events," of the City Code with significant modifications to the regulations governing how special events are permitted and managed within the City.  These meetings are sunshine meetings and open to the public.  More than one Councilmember may be in attendance.

The City of Dunnellon Council will hold a Public Hearing regarding Ordinance #ORD2026-01, readopting Chapter 11 Special Events entirety. The public hearing will be held at Dunnellon City Hall, 20750 River Drive, Dunnellon, FL 34431, on Wednesday, April 15, 2025, at 5:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as can be heard. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF DUNNELLON AMENDING CHAPTER 46, ARTICLE IV OF THE CITY OF DUNNELLON CODE OF ORDINANCES REGARDING CENTENNIAL PARK BOAT RAMP LAUNCH FEES AND PENALTIES AND ENFORCEMENT; PROVIDING FOR CONFLICTS, CODIFICATION, SEVERABILITY, AND EFFECTIVE DATE. 

A public hearing is scheduled for the Special City Council Meeting on March 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Dunnellon City Hall, 20750 River Drive. If necessary, the public hearing may be continued to a time and date certain by announcement at the scheduled hearing without any further written notice.

NOTICE OF DUNNELLON CITY COUNCIL SEAT VACANCY

Notice is hereby given that the City of Dunnellon is seeking interested, qualified electors to submit an application to fill the unexpired term of Glen Stocker, Council Seat 2 until the November 4, 2026 City Council Election. You must reside within the incorporated City of Dunnellon to apply for this vacancy.

Pursuant to the City Charter, Section 8, Elections: No person shall be eligible to hold office who shall not at the time of his election be a qualified elector of said city, residing within the territory thereof; and in case any officer shall remove his residence beyond the limits of said city his office shall thereby immediately become vacant. In case any vacancy shall occur in any city office, such vacancy shall be filled by a majority vote of all the members of the City Council, and the person so appointed by the City Council shall hold office until the next annual or special election of officers and until his successor is elected and qualified.

Following appointment, the selected candidate will be required to file a Financial Disclosure Form-1 in accordance with State regulations.

A completed application must be submitted to the City Clerk no later than 12:00 noon on Monday, March 2, 2026 in order to be considered.
